Our lecture on Friday 8th November will be “an author abroad”.
Michael Malaghan has travelled extensively and learned much from those travels. 
“When you are in Rome, do as the Romans do” is a slogan Michael adheres to, but find out if that always applies!  

Doors open at 1:50pm for a 2”15pm start. Admission, open to non-members, is £2, includes tea/coffee/biscuits after the talk, in the United Reformed Church Hall in the Boulevard.

St Martin’s Church Coffee Morning and Fayre.
We will be holding our annual St Martin’s Day coffee morning and fayre on Saturday 9th November 10:00am – 12:00pm in church. Entry 50p to include unlimited tea or coffee and biscuits. Browse our varied stalls and you might even pick up an early Christmas gift for family or friends!
All proceeds and donations will go to St Martin’s Church.

On 6th November, at 8:00pm, The Black Cat, Weston High Street, is hosting a story night. Local writers are invited to come and read their short stories. Any topic, the only constraint being it shouldn’t take more than five or ten minutes to read.

If you’re not a writer, do come along. What could be better than a cosy pub with writers’ imaginations taking you far away from the gloom of a dark November night?

Weston-super-Mare Music Appreciation Society next meetings are on 6th November, 4th December 2024 & 15th January 2025.  2:15pm for a 2:30pm start with tea/coffee provided during the interval. We have presentations given by professional speakers and our own members. Come and join a friendly group of people with a shared interest in a wide range of recorded music. We meet at Milton Methodist Church, 2 Milton Hill, Weston-super-Mare BS22 9RA. (The hall is behind the church).
