Our lecture on Friday 8th November will be “an author abroad”.
Michael Malaghan has travelled extensively and learned much from those travels. 
“When you are in Rome, do as the Romans do” is a slogan Michael adheres to, but find out if that always applies!  

Doors open at 1:50pm for a 2”15pm start. Admission, open to non-members, is £2, includes tea/coffee/biscuits after the talk, in the United Reformed Church Hall in the Boulevard.

St Martin’s Church Coffee Morning and Fayre.
We will be holding our annual St Martin’s Day coffee morning and fayre on Saturday 9th November 10:00am – 12:00pm in church. Entry 50p to include unlimited tea or coffee and biscuits. Browse our varied stalls and you might even pick up an early Christmas gift for family or friends!
All proceeds and donations will go to St Martin’s Church.

On 6th November, at 8:00pm, The Black Cat, Weston High Street, is hosting a story night. Local writers are invited to come and read their short stories. Any topic, the only constraint being it shouldn’t take more than five or ten minutes to read.

If you’re not a writer, do come along. What could be better than a cosy pub with writers’ imaginations taking you far away from the gloom of a dark November night?

Weston-super-Mare Music Appreciation Society next meetings are on 6th November, 4th December 2024 & 15th January 2025.  2:15pm for a 2:30pm start with tea/coffee provided during the interval. We have presentations given by professional speakers and our own members. Come and join a friendly group of people with a shared interest in a wide range of recorded music. We meet at Milton Methodist Church, 2 Milton Hill, Weston-super-Mare BS22 9RA. (The hall is behind the church).

The Thursday Girls are holding a pop up fabric shop on Wednesday 6th November from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Greenways Farm, 2 Lyefield Road, Worle BS22 9NX.
Enjoy coffee, homemade cakes or lunch in our coffee shop – profits in aid of Freewheelers. We will also have a sales table (Christmas gifts?!) and a tombola.

The North Somerset Hard of Hearing Social Group meets generally on the 1st Monday of each month 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Conservative Club, 24-26 Alexandra Parade, Weston super Mare BS23 10X.
The meetings are a mixture of speakers, outings, chat and useful information. Come along. We will be happy to see you.

You will be sure of a warm welcome at our Saturday coffee morning in our old and beautiful Church hall in the centre of town – Emmanuel Church, Oxford Street, WsM. Held on the first Saturday of the month – the next one on 2nd November.

People of all ages and walks of life can come together for a meet-up of friends and to make new friends from 10:30am until 12:00 noon.

Craft Group at Worle Community Centre, Lawrence Road – Dates for November are Sunday 3rd and 17th. Cost is £5, includes refreshments.

All Saints Church in Weston Celebrates it’s Patronal Festival

Friday 1st November, 7:00pm: All Saints day Solemn mass sung by Costanzi Consort followed by Cheese and Wine in the hall. Setting-Palestrina.

Saturday 2nd November, 10:30am: All Souls Day Solemn Requiem sung by Harmonia Sacra, Setting-Victoria.

Sunday 3rd November, 11:00am: Solemn Pontifical mass Celebrant the Right Reverend Michael Langrish followed by Bring and Share Lunch in the hall, then Evensong with Benediction at 2:30pm.

Enjoy an afternoon watching flower arranging demonstrations and make new friends. Arrangements are raffled off at the end of the afternoon.

Monday 28th October, 2:00pm for 2:30pm start. Entry £7. Raffle tickets £1 a strip. Tea/Coffee and biscuits £1.
